Understanding animal behaviour is fundamental to the way I work. Time spent in the field has taught me to recognise the subtle signs that precede key moments, allowing me to anticipate behaviour rather than simply react to it.

I'm based in Kenya and work across Africa with the experience and infrastructure to support productions in remote environments.

From location scouting and field logistics to long-term shoots, I bring a self-sufficient approach, local knowledge and the experience to adapt to changing conditions.

I had the pleasure of working with Daniel filming Elephants and other wildlife in the Savuti area of Chobe National Park. Daniel’s knowledge of the area, impeccable 4x4 driving skills and his ability to contribute as a creative cinematograper made him an exceptional member of the team. He filmed some epic and cinematic scenics of the landscape and has strong long lens ability. I will never forget the day, through an incredible amount of patience in the sweltering heat, that we were able to habitute a group of Ostriches to our filming vehicle allowing us to capture some intergral behaviour for our sequence. Above all and integral to Nat Hist shoots Daniel is a lovely person to spend time with in a cramped vehicle and at camp.

Silverback Films, Series Producer

Daniel's background as a guide and photographer makes him a strong natural history cinematographer, consistently delivering interesting and artful sequences. He is equally comfortable shooting long-lens, drone, gimbal, as well as the other methods for telling a complete story. Daniel is exactly the kind of person you want on a remote wildlife production: a calm, practical problem solver who works well under challenging conditions. He has a strong understanding of animal behavior and consistently helps position himself and the crew to capture the footage a production needs. Daniel is reliable, professional, and great fun to be with in the field.
